I walk in the sunshine of my soul and play with the shadows - ange de Lumiere

Coming out on the 31st of March 2025

Read the story that shows that you don’t need to leave everything behind to go on a retreat to start your spiritual journey like Elizabeth Gilbert did in Eat, Pray, Love. You can if you want, but if you can’t, don’t worry. Your spiritual teachers could be right here where you are. And if you are a parent like Ange, they could be your own children. Ange went from being an international high flying mergers and acquisitions lawyer to modern mystic through mothering four autistic children. It all started on the 17th of September 1986, as she was making her way back home after a day’s work as a legal intern.

Testimonial

“When a book continues to linger on the back of your subconscious tugging and nudging you to turn the page again and again, you know the words therein hold power. Such is the journey I took while reading Ange De Lumiere’s latest memoir. Her vivid recollections of spiritual awakening, ever-changing, ever-growing are shared from innocence to personal empowerment, and the journey reawakened my appreciation for walking this road we call life and enlightenment.” – DAnn Allison, beta reader

Ange de Lumiere

Author

Ange’s first memoir is the story of a woman who is running out of time to make peace with her dad, only to realise that death is not the end of the conversation

In 2008, Ange’s father was diagnosed with a brain tumour. In September 2013, Ange knew her dad was living the last months of his life. How could she make peace with him when she lived thousands of kilometres from him and he was now losing his ability to speak?

This is when Ange’s training as a psychic medium came very handy and helped her turn the last months of his life into one of the most magical time of her life.

Ange's Story

Born in the mid-sixties in the heart of the Paris Latin Quarter that hosted massive student marches, Ange started a life full of rich experiences from very young, three stores above a shop called Lumieres, which inspired her nom de plume.

In 2000 a psychic told her she would write three books. The same psychic helped her to leave an unhappy marriage and pluck up the courage to move to London with her two kids who were then under six years old.

It is only after training in clinical hypnotherapy that Ange embraced her writing career, starting with a book about slimming without dieting in 2009, which she published in under three months after another psychic told her the angels wanted her to write a book about slimming.

Every book she has written ties in spirituality to our daily lives, whether it be in family, career or business. She loves to identify when our intuition speaks to us and how to lean into it to create magic on a daily basis, even in the most difficult of circumstances, such as for example when a loved one is dying.

My first memoir talks about how it's never too late to make peace with your dad.

Ange is also the podcast host of the True Spirituality with Ange podcast.

My Father Who Art in Heaven

Ange was running out of time to make peace with her dad when she realised that death was not the end of the conversation. Set in the heart of Montparnasse, in Paris, this book will make you laugh, cry and wonder. It is a story of magic, love and forgiveness.

The Intuitive Revolution in Business

You don’t have to choose between your business acumen and your intuition. They can combine as what Ange refers to as “Intuitive intelligence”, which is the highest form of intelligence.

Spiritual Lawyer

After escaping death through a mere change of mind about shopping, Ange goes on a quest to find someone to answer her deepest questions, only to find out motherhood gave her all the answers she needed.

“If you want to find a genuine mystic, you are more likely to find one in a boardroom than in a monastery or a cathedral."

Gay Hendricks

“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The latter procedure, however, is disagreeable, therefor not popular.”
